Coaching empowers clients with a shift in perspective that comes as a result of asking insightful questions.
If ever you’ve had an epiphany as a result of someone asking the right question, you’ll get coaching.
Have you ever answered a question asked of you and realized your own answer provided the empowering “aha” moment you had been seeking? It’s that moment when things just click for you, and suddenly things make more sense – you feel like you know what to do next. However that shift would not have occurred without that question that pushed your mind into motion past the perspective you previously held. That’s coaching!
Coaching helps clients get unstuck when they feel stuck. Coaches help you identify what actions to take toward your goals. Coaches positively support you and hold you accountable to ensure you get where you’re going.
A coach is someone on your side who is rooting for you – who wants to see you succeed and help you think beyond the box to get there.
Oh, and did I mention coaching can provide quantifiable results. Here are some stats:
-An International Personnel Management Association survey found that productivity increased by 88% when coaching was combined with training (compared to a 22% increase with training alone).
-Metropolitan Life Insurance Company found that productivity among salespeople who had participated in an intensive coaching program rose by an average of 35%.
-In the case of MetLife, the company invested about $620,000 in a coaching program, and realized $3.2 million in measurable gains.
