As a coach I subscribe to several e-newsletters to keep up on various trends and industry insights. I recently received a newsletter message written by Chris Osborn, President of Coach Training Alliance (CTA) -- CTA is my coach training alma mater. I wanted to quote something Osborn wrote: "Anxiety is life’s energy finding itself pent up by indecision or pause." That statement is very true especially if you've been feeling stuck or in a rut. The key word in this statement is 'energy.' To me, that implies that the energy can be indecisive, hesitant, bad, or definite, positive and good -- in either case the choice is yours. Sometimes you're too close to situations to view them objectively enough to actively choose to change your energy around a particular subject or situation. In these cases it often takes an outside perspective to help change your energy and move forward positively. Coaches help their clients overcome those hurdles by empowering them to take action and view problems from an innovative positive perspective that most often leads to exactly the right solution. If you've ever considered becoming a coach or simply learning the coaching process to help you better manage people and projects, check out Coach Training Alliance's Certified Coach Training program (affiliate).
