Since the new year I've been asked several times, "What are your plans with GrowLoop in 2014?" So I thought I would just share those plans with those who matter most -- you!
Here we go:
You’ll notice the GrowLoop website received a bit of a facelift. I’ve made the look and feel of the website a bit more simple and straight forward in its design and navigation. This is in relation to website readability trends on tablets and smartphones -- mobile is mainstream so I have to cater to it.
Speaking of mobile you may notice that my longer form blog posts have become a little less frequent. I plan on still providing a couple per month that you'll get in your email inbox, as is the case today. However, I'm doing more micro-blogging with Twitter posts and LinkedIn updates.

Part of my 2014 business strategy is to offer more marketing coaching products to provide valuable marketing coaching in a convenient self-paced format at a more affordable price point compared to 1-on-1 coaching.
An entrance into this idea is to offer some free digital marketing recipes. I'm feverishly working to further build out this portion of the GrowLoop website, but for now there are a couple of recommended marketing/entrepreneurial reading plan guides available there as well as some recommended blog posts that offer some specific how-to takeaways.
I recently became an affiliate/reseller of the LinkedIn training course, LinkedInfluence, created by Lewis Howes.
This came about because I keep getting asked to help people with their LinkedIn digital marketing strategy, which I love, but I can't keep up with demand.
I thought the best thing to do would be to either create an information product that could help people develop their LinkedIn strategy with easy-to-follow, self-paced training content, or find one that I believe in to offer to the GrowLoop community, which is what I decided to do. Enter: LinkedInfluence.
LinkedInfluence provides 10 times the value for its price. In addition, I'm working on a GrowLoop-created free LinkedIn webinar that will provide some great LinkedIn digital marketing value and also introduce folks to the very thorough LinkedInfluence product that goes into a ton of depth on using LinkedIn to build your coaching or consulting business among other useful LinkedIn tips and tricks.
Regarding information products, I'm still promoting Building Your Brand, an activity ebook to help you establish your brand message and leverage it to make money.
Also, in 2013 I spoke to a group of residential real estate agents about how agents can develop a their own digital marketing strategy. I created an info-product as a result of that speaking engagement with my detailed speaker notes and the presentation slide deck .
I'm currently in the finishing stages of preparing a new ebook course on developing effective eNewsletters.
This ebook will walk one through how to create eNewsletters that your subscribers will want to read and how you can profit from this effort.
This will also include a bonus workbook to create your own eNewsletter roadmap, specific to your business. That product should be out in by the end of Q1 2014.
While GrowLoop will be providing more coaching products in 2014, GrowLoop's service offerings remain strong as well. If you don't remember, or for some reason never knew, GrowLoop offers custom logo design for companies as well as basic website creation, or if you're looking for the whole package you can save some money on a custom logo and website.
The structure of my coaching services will change a bit this year -- not drastically, but it will allow clients to get a custom marketing coaching plan based on a marketing needs analysis specific to that client. The beauty is that clients can either follow that plan on their own and/or purchase on-going, 1-on-1 email/phone-based coaching to work through their custom plan together with me -- their GrowLoop coach.
Regardless of whether or not a client purchases only a custom marketing coaching plan to do-it-themselves, or they purchase the plan and on-going 1-on-1 coaching to help support their plan, the plan purchase price includes the GoalsOnTrack task and goal management software allowing you to plug your custom marketing plan tasks and goals into the software to help you stay motivated and on track as you implement your plan.
I eluded in my last eNewsletter to some white-label products I’m working on for 2014. These would be content pieces created specifically for other coaches and consultants to rebrand and market as their own products. That’s still in the works, but has been pushed out on the 2014 product road map for later this year.

Reflecting at the end of the year
I hope you’re enjoying what's left of your December.
This is often a busy time of year with holidays and year-end wrap-ups, etc. (and my birthday happens to fall two days after Christmas). As a result it is a good time for some thoughtful reflections/considerations.
I wanted to take a moment to slow down and share a few personal things with you and invite you to reply and share with me what’s going on in your life and business.
First off, I’ve been excited to see how things have developed with GrowLoop over the last year. The success GrowLoop has had this year is directly tied to you, your support and patronage. Thank you!
I feel proud that GrowLoop has been able to, in even a small way, inspire entrepreneurial action and help those within the GrowLoop community to pay that inspiration, motivation and action forward to their own clients.
In fact, I’ve refined and shortened the GrowLoop mission to reflect that idea. The old mission stated the same idea but with many more words, which didn’t allow it to be that memorable.
Here’s the newly refined GrowLoop mission: Inspire clients to take entrepreneurial action and pay it forward
On a personal note
On a more personal note, my wife and I, found out earlier this year that our young son has autism spectrum disorder. That’s been life-changing in both great and not-so-great ways, but more good than bad. He’s already progressed dramatically with the school/therapy he’s in -- so grateful.
Speaking of family, it has been a decision that was in the works for some time, but my wife and I have embarked on expanding our family through adoption. At this point, we’re about one-third of the way through the process -- it takes a while, but any good vibrations you can send our way will be much appreciated.
All that said, any money generated from my GrowLoop services will be used to help support our son’s autism therapy and our adoption process, just so you know how the money you spend with GrowLoop will be used.

My goal, is to quickly get back to offering you more useful business and marketing-related information that you can use, but today I want to share where GrowLoop is going next year. Sound good?

You'll notice this email newsletter format is a little different compared to how I've sent my eNewsletter in the past...I'm utilizing a solution that allows me to keep things more organized on my end to hopefully provide you a more consistent and useable GrowLoop eNewsletter experience than what I was providing previously.
In other words, the method I'm now using to write, publish and deliver my eNewsletter to you will make it easier for me to get it to you regularly helping to keep me more accountable toward the idea of providing you relevant content about marketing topics and GrowLoop itself.
What's going on with GrowLoop?
So far this year has taught me several things about my business. I'm like you in that I'm constantly refining my business and my approach to streamline what I'm doing to provide the best win-win situation for my clients and my business.
That constant education-by-doing has helped me refine who I'm helping with GrowLoop's services. Primarily, I'm finding GrowLoop's best clients, who seem to experience the best gains from my services and who I thoroughly enjoy working with, are other business and marketing-related coaches and consultants.
So, as I move GrowLoop forward I will be focusing my attention on specifically helping and serving that audience.
How does this affect me?
GrowLoop will be able to serve coaches and consultants in two distinct ways:
1) GrowLoop can provide it's branding and digital marketing coaching and creative services to improve
client-coaches'/consultants' marketing to generate more opportunities for them -- leads and sales.
This includes custom logo design, website creation and digital marketing coaching and informative ebooks/info-products for sale -- direct to GrowLoop clients.
2) GrowLoop also will provide coaches and consultants and opportunity to resell some GrowLoop products and services to their own clients as additional value-add offerings.
Specifically, GrowLoop will be developing white-labeled content [also known as Private Label Rights (PLR) content] for other marketing and business coaches/consultants to purchase from GrowLoop and use the content as their own, and even enhance it with with their own stories and additional tips.
Then coaches/consultants who purchase, enhance and use GrowLoop's white-labeled content have the ability to market that content as their own info-product (ebook) to sell to their own clients -- charging whatever price you'd like and keeping all your profits. It's a very quick and easy way to develop customizable ebook products for sale with the bulk of the writing done for you.
Beyond that, other business and marketing coaches/consultants who would like to be able to offer custom logo design to their own clients will have the ability to promote and resell GrowLoop's custom logo design service to their audience and receive a commission for any logo opportunity that closes.
When will this take effect?
The plan is to roll this all out in the beginning of 2014.
But what if I'm not a coach or consultant and I want to work with GrowLoop?
That's a reasonable question, and just like with any initial client conversations both you (as the potential client) and GrowLoop discuss the likelihood of a successful working relationship. In other words, after getting to know each other and gaining an understanding of challenges, goals and capabilities we would mutually decide if the best course of action is to work together.
My point is, just because my marketing is targeted to a particular niche doesn't mean I won't consider working with others outside of that niche.
